Update the WordPress plugin

Check your plugin version and install the update when Distribb asks for it.

Do it in Distribb. This opens the right page in the app. You may need to sign in first.

Open Integrations

The current Distribb plugin is version 3.9.0. From 3.9.0 on it updates itself. Sites on an older version see a banner in Distribb.

Steps

  1. Open Integrations in the sidebar.
  2. If you see "A WordPress plugin update is available", choose Download the update.
  3. In WordPress, go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, and upload the new zip. WordPress asks to replace the current version: confirm.
  4. Keep the plugin activated. Your Integration Key stays the same.

Check it works

Reload Integrations. The update banner is gone. Your next article publishes as usual.

Good to know

  • Version 3.9.0 stores every article image on your own site when Image Hosting is set to My CMS, and lets Distribb publish page optimizations straight to your pages.
  • Old versions can miss newer features, such as alt text on images. Updating fixes that.
  • Articles from the AI content writer and links from the backlink exchange work on every version from 3.0.0.
