Edit an article and send the change to your site

Change a published article in Distribb and push the edit to WordPress or your CMS without creating a duplicate.

Markdown

Do it in Distribb. This opens the right page in the app. You may need to sign in first.

Open your Calendar

You can edit any article in Distribb. For a published one, a sync button sends your edit to the same post on your site.

Steps

  1. Open Calendar and open the article with View article.
  2. Choose Edit, make your changes, and choose Save Changes.
  3. For an article already live, choose Sync to WordPress (the button names your CMS).
  4. On a webhook site, the save button reads Update and sends the change straight away.

Check it works

Under the sync button, Last synced: shows the time. Reload the live post on your site to see the edit.

Good to know

  • Sync finds the existing post by its slug and updates it, so keep the slug the same on your site.
  • Edit with AI lets you describe a change in words instead of editing by hand. It is part of the Distribb agent described on the AI SEO agent page.
  • If you edit the same thing again and again, turn it into a rule so the AI content writer gets it right next time: see Give feedback on an article.
