Turn YouTube videos in articles on or off

Choose whether articles embed a relevant YouTube video, and from which channel.

Markdown

Do it in Distribb. This opens the right page in the app. You may need to sign in first.

Open Article Settings

Articles can embed a YouTube video when the writer finds a useful one for the topic. New projects start with videos off.

Steps

  1. Open Article Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Under Article Quality Preferences, find Include YouTube Videos in Articles.
  3. Set it to No to stop videos, or Yes to allow them.
  4. If you choose Yes, pick a Video Source and add Your YouTube Channel if you want your own videos used.
  5. Choose Save Content Settings.

Remove one video, or one channel

On an article, hover over the video and use the feedback button. Ban this video channel stops that channel in later articles.

Check it works

The next article written after you saved has no video, or uses the source you picked.

Good to know

  • Choosing your own channel steers the writer, it does not lock it. If a video must never come from anyone else, keep videos off.
  • Health, legal and finance sites usually keep videos off. See healthcare SEO for how Distribb handles clinics, and the AI content writer for what each article includes.
