# What Distribb does, and what to expect in your first 90 days

What runs by itself after setup, the few things only you can do, and when results usually show up.

Distribb researches keywords, writes SEO articles, publishes them to your site and earns backlinks for you. After a short setup it runs by itself, but search engines take weeks to react.

## What runs by itself

1. After onboarding, Distribb builds your content plan. You see it in **Calendar**.
2. It writes and publishes articles on that plan: 30 a month on Pro, 90 a month on Accelerator. The [AI content writer](/ai-content-writer) page shows what goes into each article.
3. Each article goes out at the time you set in **Ideal Publishing Time**, unless you chose drafts.
4. If you switch on the backlink exchange, other businesses in the network link to your articles.

## What only you can do

1. Connect your website, so articles can publish. See [Connect WordPress](/help/publishing/connect-wordpress) or the other CMS guides.
2. Connect Google Search Console, so you can see impressions and clicks. See [Connect Search Console](/help/start/connect-search-console).
3. Read your first few articles. If something is off, leave feedback on the article. Distribb turns it into a rule for every later article.
4. Tell Distribb what it should never write about in **Article Settings**.

## Check it works

1. Open **Calendar**. You should see articles marked **Planned** for the coming days.
2. After the first publishing day, an article shows **Published**, and **View article** opens it.
3. Open the live page on your site and check it is there.

## Good to know

- SEO is slow. This is the curve we tell every customer: weeks 1 to 2, Google finds and indexes the new pages. Weeks 3 to 6, the first impressions show in Search Console. Weeks 6 to 12, the first keywords reach page one and AI assistants start to cite you. Some sites move faster, some slower.
- Customers who connect Search Console stay longer, because they can see the progress before results turn into traffic.
